Our Model

We achieve improved outcomes for young children and families by bringing together the expertise of a child development and behavioral health promotion and prevention expert, the HealthySteps Specialist, and the pediatric primary care provider.

Together, these experts build strong relationships with families and bring focus to the important interwoven skills needed for families to foster healthy child development and life-long well-being: social-emotional development; language and literacy skills; cognition skills; and perceptual, motor, and physical development.

The evidence-based HealthySteps model consists of eight Core Components organized into three Tiers of Service, ensuring all families in the practice with children age 0-3 receive support aligned with their needs.

With the HealthySteps approach, your team can streamline the implementation of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Bright Futures Guidelines and improve the quality of care patients receive.
