The Family Advisors are a small group of HealthySteps caregivers engaged by the National Office to provide feedback on the program and our resources. Family Advisors offer their unique insights and perspectives to improve and refine the program for all families and help to shape the mission, vision, and direction of the group.

We collaborated with Family Voices, a national family-led organization that promotes partnership with families at all levels of health care to improve services and policies for children, and with HealthySteps Specialists to inform the development and launch of the Family Advisory Group.

Each year, a new group of parents and caregivers who have participated in HealthySteps will serve on the Family Advisory Group. We typically open up applications in the summer. If you are interested in learning more about becoming an advisor, please contact [email protected].

HealthySteps Ambassadors advise the National Office and strengthen the connection between the National Office and the national network of sites. Specific activities may include identifying needs in the field, reviewing and piloting materials, shaping professional development opportunities, and speaking with potential new sites or current sites about specific initiatives, among others.
