I look forward to being a HealthySteps Family Advisory Group Member because I really believe that this program should be expanded nationally to help all new parents. Many countries already do similar programs, and I hope that all American parents will one day receive these services that are crucial to the health and well-being of children and families.

Erica McNeil

My name is Erica McNeil. I live in Greensboro, NC, and my family participates in the HealthySteps program at the Greensboro Pediatricians location. We have been a HealthySteps family for more than 3 years. What I like most about HealthySteps is the commitment to providing resources and education, the genuine warmth shown to be an active part of my family, in addition to the care and concern for my family, not just for the child enrolled in the HealthySteps program. It makes me eager to serve! I look forward to being a HealthySteps Family Advisory Group Member because I know that other families would absolutely benefit from this and the impact that this program has on children and families is both beneficial and rewarding. As a result, I feel that this then becomes my reasonable service, as an act of gratitude, as well as my desire to see more and more children and families learn to take ‘HealthySteps’ towards a healthier mental, physical, and emotional lifestyle. Quite honestly, to know an opportunity exists to be part of such an “AHHHmazing” experience and not at least attempt to provide feedback/input would be like saying I could’ve done without HealthySteps and that just simply is NOT true!
