Baby Carlie Avoids the Hospital

Sarah provides child care at her home in Fort Morgan, Colorado. When her daughter, Carlie, was born, Sarah struggled to get her to eat enough to maintain a healthy weight. That’s when her HealthySteps Specialist stepped in and helped change the trajectory of Carlie—and Sarah’s—life.

ABCD is the program lead for HealthySteps in Colorado, working to expand and implement the program across the state to ensure it’s delivered as designed to achieve optimal health outcomes for babies and young children. ABCD partners with the HealthySteps National Office at ZERO TO THREE and Children’s Hospital Colorado to pilot and support the implementation of new processes and practices to improve quality.
